One of the most important recurring themes in the projects I describe is the relationship between the home and the garden. This garden, designed by Brook Landscape, is framed by a large picture window that really is the protagonist of this two story limestone renovation. You see for New York City dwellers to have your own patch of green is something special and this window celebrates that connection, beautifully detailed it both frames the garden from the inside out, and people from the outside in like a painting. We can talk about other parts of the design, there is a diagonal object that provides space for the refrigerator and powder room that organizes the parlor level, but the most striking element about this modest house in Prospect Lefferts Garden is the coolest window in Brooklyn.
