Welcome to the brownstone blog, let me introduce myself, I am an architect in New York City. I work in a firm, it does fancy Architecture for cultural institutions, rich people, sometimes developers and universities, but all our work is decidedly modern. Still like so many architects we love the old stuff, the materials, the detailing, the spatial qualities.

And like so many New Yorkers I am not from here, not having english as my first language I hope you’ll forgive the occasional misspellings and grammatical errors. But here I am, an architect in New York living in Brownstone Brooklyn. I love these buildings  and I want to build my knowledge. So follow along as we explore the architecture, finances, and technical aspects of living in these amazing structures.
